At the core of Data Concepts professional development program is the relationship between new consultants and their
mentors, more senior people whose role is to serve as a friendly guide.
Within a few days after you join Data Concepts, your mentor will meet with you to provide orientation and to help
position you for your first project assignment. Thereafter he or she will represent you within the firm, interpret the
firm to you, coach you in your day-to-day consulting work, and assist you in your networking within the firm. Your
mentor will also maintain contact with your Project Leaders as preparation for your mid-year and year-end evaluations.
Over the long term, your mentor will work with you to prepare and implement your Individual Development Plan, a process
during which you will indicate a preference for one among many career alternatives, align your objectives with those of
the firm, and identify the tools you will need to meet those objectives. The plan is a dynamic document designed to help
our consultants maintain continuous professional growth.
